Special Education

Some students require specially designed instruction and/or services to succeed in school. In order to provide appropriate educational opportunities designed to meet each student's unique learning needs, we have a continuum of special program options.

Referrals

To refer your child for special education services, please contact a school psychologist.

When we receive a referral, we may decide that your child needs an evaluation. In an evaluation, a team with members from many specialties will assess your child. They will identify your child’s needs and recommend services and programs.

Special Services Coordinators

Our special services coordinators help organize a range of services for your child. They work with teachers as teachers create Individual Education Plans (IEPs). They work with our Special Services team to find appropriate services for your child. They can also start the process to arrange transportation.
